Privacy Policy - Web Code Extractor
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Web Code Extractor (also listed as Webflow Code Extractor on the Chrome Web Store) is published by ARYAN JATHAR ("we", "us", or "the publisher"). This policy explains how the Web Code Extractor Chrome extension handles information.
Information the extension handles
When you explicitly start an extraction, the extension reads content from the active webpage to produce the requested code output. Depending on the action and options you choose, this can include page or selected-element HTML, CSS/style information (including computed styles when enabled), class names, and the page URL. Webpages may themselves contain personal or confidential information, so only use extraction on content you are authorized to process.
The extension places selected-element output in that tab's sessionStorage so the popup can receive it. The popup retrieves and removes this value when opened shortly after extraction; otherwise it remains in that tab until the tab is closed. The extension also saves up to 10 extraction-history records in Chrome's local extension storage. A history record can contain the page URL, a short text preview, the selected tab/selector, and generated code. History is retained on this device until you clear it, the extension updates (the current build clears history on update), you uninstall the extension, or Chrome removes its local extension data. Large records may be truncated to fit storage limits. You can clear saved history using Clear in the extension popup.
How information is used and shared
The information is used only to perform the extraction, display/copy the generated output, and provide the local history feature. The extension does not send extracted content, URLs, or history to the publisher or to third-party servers. We do not sell, rent, or share this information. The extension does not use it for advertising, analytics, profiling, or credit/loan eligibility decisions.
The extension's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Copying output uses Chrome's clipboard capability only after you press Copy. The copied text is then subject to the clipboard behavior and apps on your device.
Security and control
Extraction starts only after you invoke the extension or its context-menu action. The extension uses Chrome's local extension storage for history and does not operate a server-side account or backup. Protect your device and clear history if you do not want saved output to remain available in Chrome.
Changes
If the extension's data handling changes, we will update this policy and the extension's disclosures. Material changes will be communicated to users as required by applicable Chrome Web Store policies.
